Ray J, after dealing with ongoing health issues, has expressed a belief that his time may be limited, suggesting he may not live beyond next year.
“2027 is definitely the end for me,” he shared in a video posted on social media Tuesday night. “That’s what they say.”
In response to a friend who urged him not to say such things, Ray J shook his head and covered his face with his hands.
“I shouldn’t have tried so hard, brother,” he remarked, adding, “My baby mama will be fine, and my kids will be fine. If you want to spend money, go ahead. I’ve done my part here.”
He also expressed his wishes regarding his funeral, saying simply, “When it’s all over, burn me, stop burying me.”
Ray J took a moment to encourage his parents, who had taken him for a medical appointment the next day, and his sister, Brandy, who he thanked for covering his living expenses for the rest of the year.
At 45 years old and known to his family as William Raymond Norwood Jr., Ray J recently gave an update stating that he “almost died.”
“My heart is only beating at about 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and on the right path, everything will be okay. Thanks for everyone’s prayers,” he explained.
This comes on the heels of news earlier this month about his hospitalization due to serious pneumonia after experiencing “heart pain,” prompting doctors to conduct tests.
In October 2021, he had faced a similar hospitalization in Miami under the same circumstances. It’s been a challenging time for him overall.
In September, Ray J claimed he was pursuing a federal racketeering lawsuit against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, although details supporting this claim remain unclear. The reality stars have countered by suing him for defamation, labeling his claims as “blatantly false.”
Ray J has persisted with his allegations that Jenner and Kardashian were involved in leaking their infamous sex tape, even filing a countersuit against them.
In November, the Kardashian-Jenner family’s attorney described Ray J’s actions as “frivolous.” Additionally, he faced legal troubles in December after an incident while livestreaming on Thanksgiving involving threats to his estranged wife, Princess Love.
Princess Love, the mother of his two children, filed for divorce for the fourth time in February 2024.
