Reality star takes legal action against former fiancé for $10 million over claims of harassment and exploitation.

Racquel Chevremont, known for her role in “The Real Housewives of New York City,” is taking legal action against her ex-fiancé, Mickalene Thomas, claiming $10 million in a major lawsuit.

The reality television star, who also works as an art curator and model, has accused the renowned artist of various wrongdoings spanning a decade, from 2012 to 2022, as detailed in six-page court filings.

According to Chevremont, she has been inadequately compensated for more than ten years, both as an employee until January 1, 2021, as well as regarding contracts predating 2021.

Furthermore, it’s alleged that Thomas illegally redirected significant funds and business chances from their joint company to her own entity, MT LLC.

Chevremont has also expressed that Thomas created a “hostile and abusive work environment.” She claims that even after their breakup in 2020, they continued working together, during which time, she says, Thomas sexually harassed her by pressuring her to rekindle their romantic relationship.

For these grievances, Chevremont is pursuing $10 million to cover attorney fees and court costs.

Representatives for both parties have not responded to requests for comments regarding the matter.

The two artists first crossed paths in 2002 when Chevremont worked at the Studio Museum in Harlem, where Thomas was a resident artist. They rekindled their romance in 2011, coincidentally meeting again in Paris. At that time, Thomas, who resides at Monet’s estate in Giverny, was also married, as was Chevremont.

They got engaged in 2019, but their relationship took a downturn in 2020, shortly after a highly publicized exhibition at a Hamptons art venue, as previously reported.

Currently, Chevremont is working on a project related to forensic neuropsychology.
