After long targeting President Trump in court, New York Attorney General Leticia James appears to be reaping what she sowed.
James once claimed he “put Trump in prison by any necessary means,” but was investigating a mortgage fraud.
The lawsuit against James surrounds Norfolk, Virginia, which James purchased in 2023. She identified her in her mortgage document as the home that serves as her primary residence.
However, her job legally requires her to live in New York. This means that James had identified her home in Virginia as a primary residence as a financial job.

“What’s going on today, Leticia James is now featured in the Department of Mortgage Fraud, which is actually justice,” commented Liz Wheeler of The Liz Wheeler Show.
“This is not a proof for Letitia James. It’s not a punishment for her. It’s not just aimed at her just to reverse the laws she used on Trump and return to her. No, this is justice, and I want you to be sure that our country is not only fair, but that our rule should not be avoided corrupt.
The allegations from James regarding Trump were that he inflated his own net worth and the value of his assets in order to get a loan.
“Specifically, her claim was that Trump inflated Mar-a-Lago’s value to get loans from a New York bank.
“Even so, the radical left judge unilaterally ruled that, in fact, years later, Mar a Lago was not worth the $18 million to $27.6 million that Trump estimated or he valued it.
Trump was liable for the civil lawsuit and was ordered to pay more than $400 million for business fraud.
“There’s no crime here,” Wheeler says. “There were no casualties. Leticia James campaigned on a totally stupid fishing expedition. She hated Trump so she was trying to get him.
