Reid Hoffman finances ads against Epstein even with his own connections to him.

Reid Hoffman, the billionaire who co-founded LinkedIn and has come under fire for his connections to Jeffrey Epstein, recently made significant contributions to the House Majority PAC, a prominent Democratic fundraising organization. This group has begun running ads focusing on Epstein to target Republican candidates, as revealed in Federal Election Commission filings from last week.

As Election Day approaches, HMP has started ramping up its expenditure, asserting that Republicans have failed to honor their commitments regarding transparency surrounding Epstein’s child trafficking activities and whether he facilitated illegal encounters. While the specific donor funds linked to particular advertisements weren’t disclosed, Hoffman’s funding came just two weeks before election night, coinciding with a surge in Epstein-themed ads.

In one of these campaigns, HMP criticized Rep. Nick Begich from Alaska for his vote against a procedural initiative intended to advance the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Interestingly, Begich later changed his vote to support the legislation, which ultimately passed nearly unanimously.

In ads, HMP’s narrative highlights, “How did Jeffrey Epstein hide it? He was protected by the elites — elites like Nick Begich. Begich voted against releasing the Epstein Files, trying to hide the truth. Alaskans need someone who cares more about bringing down costs than protecting a rapist.”

The legislation that passed in November 2025 mandates the Justice Department to disclose records related to Epstein while offering some protections to keep the identities of his victims confidential.

HMP’s total spending on Epstein-related ads has reached $543,300, as indicated by FEC records. Additionally, the group has targeted numerous races across battleground states, including substantial amounts spent in Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. All these ads launched recently, according to an advertising-tracking service.

Some Republicans have pointed out the irony in Hoffman’s financial support and HMP’s advertisements focusing on Epstein. Natalie Baldassarre, a spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, remarked, “Democrats have no problem with money in politics so long as it benefits their own campaign, even if it comes from certified perverts like Reid Hoffman who maintained a relationship with Epstein after his conviction.” She criticized Democrats for lacking morals when it comes to power and money.

Over the years, Hoffman and Epstein exchanged letters and gifts and collaborated on fundraising efforts for MIT’s Media Lab. Documents released through the DOJ’s Epstein Files library indicate that Hoffman visited Epstein at his private residence and participated in events alongside him. In one email sent on Christmas Eve 2014, Hoffman mentioned sending Epstein two gifts, which included ice cream and a surfer statue.

Hoffman has denied any wrongdoing and expressed regret over his relationship with Epstein, especially after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. In a 2019 interview, he said, “My last interaction with Epstein was in 2015. Still, by agreeing to participate in any fundraising activity where Epstein was present, I helped to repair his reputation and perpetuate injustice. For this, I am deeply regretful.”

There are no allegations in the records examined by Fox News Digital that Hoffman was involved in Epstein’s trafficking crimes. The news outlet reached out to HMP about whether it was aware of Hoffman’s past when accepting his donation and how it aligns with their messaging regarding Epstein. They also tried to contact Hoffman’s representatives for comments but did not receive a response.
