Released into the U.S. by Biden, accused of killing a man in a wheelchair on the street.

An undocumented immigrant, released into the U.S. by the previous Biden administration, has been charged with the murder of a 58-year-old man in a sanctuary city in Illinois while he was crossing the street in a wheelchair.

The suspect, Fernando Lorenzo Raymundo, a 36-year-old from Guatemala, is alleged to have fatally harmed James McCammon during the incident in early March, as reported by the Illinois State Police Department in Champaign.

Authorities claim that Lorenzo Raymundo attacked McCammon while he was in his wheelchair. Lorenzo Raymundo has since pleaded guilty to battery.

In memory of McCammon, a GoFundMe page describes him as “a kind man with the greatest heart.”

This week, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials revealed fresh details about Lorenzo Raymundo, noting his first crossing of the border occurred in 2013.

Last March, he crossed the U.S.-Mexico border again and was detained by border patrol agents, but was later released into the country along with many other undocumented immigrants under the Biden administration.

Almost a year later, Lorenzo Raymundo now faces accusations of killing McCammon.
