Rep. Andy Ogles’ Bill Would Force Disclosure of When President Takes Mind-Altering Substance

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) has introduced a bill called the “No Juicing Joe Act,” which would require the presidential administration to inform Congress if the president takes any substance “that may alter his mental state or ability to perform his duties.”

Ogles’ Bill, First report Fox News reported that Trump would also be required to notify lawmakers if he takes any drugs that could affect “his judgment or mood.”

The Tennessee freshman congressman spoke about the bill on X’s “Restoring the Republic” on Thursday afternoon, where he claimed President Joe Biden is “taking some kind of cocktail to help his cognitive abilities and his ability to function, to have energy.”

“The White House will not do any testing on him for that, so we are asking him to submit and notify Congress when he is taking any type of cocktail or anything that may alter his mental state or ability to perform,” Ogles said.

Ogles pointed to video of Biden at the G7 summit on Thursday, in which he appeared distracted and walking away from other world leaders, with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at one point urging Biden to face the same direction as the rest of the group.

Ogles noted that world leaders “are kindly beginning to fill in the gaps because he’s lost and doesn’t know where he is.”

“Folks, he is the leader of the free world and other leaders in Europe have to surround him to keep him focused. This is not the message we want to send on the world stage,” Ogules said, arguing it’s about “showing why Russia, China and Iran are doing what they’re doing.”
