Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) was kicked out of a pro-Trump event by MAGA patriots, video reported.
Video shows Good, chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, which supported President Trump’s challenger, former Gov. Ron DeSantis, in last year’s Republican primary, being kicked out of a pro-Trump event by a store owner. .
The former Appomattox, Virginia Republican Party chairman and Trump Store owner said in a statement that he “recently leased a storefront as a Trump Store in Farmville, Virginia” as a show of support for the former president. Saturday was the grand opening, with special guest State Sen. John McGuire. “Because John, unlike Bob Good, was a supporter of President Trump and never wavered.”
The store owner said Good had been told the night before that he was not welcome at the event, but he showed up uninvited and got into an argument with the store owner. A statement from the owner said Good “wanted to spend the day thinking about himself, not President Trump.”
“I told Bob multiple times to quit. When he finally relented and left the store, Bob and his paid campaign staff stood out in front for over four hours and tried to block people from entering the store. “This whole thing was extremely embarrassing for anyone, let alone a sitting member of Congress,” the statement read.
In fact, the video showed the deputy arguing with the store owner, who repeatedly asked him to leave and said he had not received any invitation to “take over” the store.
“Bob, please really stop this. This is embarrassing, Bob,” she said, adding, “The content of the email you sent made it seem like this was your event.”
“You put an image of President Trump in your message and said everyone was invited. You sent it out to a big list and you were actually asking for donations for it,” she told Good.
“This is not the 5th District. This is my personal store. And you guys are trespassing, so please leave,” she said, adding that Goode is not using her for her campaign. He added that he was trying to “take over” the store.
