Rep. Cori Bush vows revenge against pro-Israel group after primary loss

Far-left “Squad” Rep. Cori Bush declared she had been radicalized after her loss in Tuesday’s Missouri Democratic primary and vowed revenge against pro-Israel groups that supported her opponent.

“It’s just some threads that have separated me from being a congresswoman,” the Missouri 1st District representative told supporters after her loss to local prosecutor Wesley Bell.

“Let’s be clear. Let’s be clear. Let’s be clear. Let’s be clear. Let’s be clear. Let’s be clear,” Bush shouted into the microphone. “Let’s tell the truth.

“I love my job, but all they did was radicalize me, so now they have to be afraid.”

“I tell you, AIPAC, I am here to destroy your kingdom,” Bush said, referring to the pro-Israel super PAC that has poured nearly $9 million into unseating incumbent congressmen.

The White House on Wednesday condemned the Missouri Democrat’s bizarre comments.

Asked about Bush’s comments, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said: “These comments are inflammatory, divisive and completely unhelpful.”

“We will continue to condemn any kind of political rhetoric in that manner and to that effect,” she added, insisting that “such inflammatory and divisive language has no place in our political debate.”

AIPAC congratulated Bell on his victory in a statement on Tuesday, in which it called Bush an “anti-Israel bait-and-switch.”

“During this primary election, mainstream pro-Israel supporters sent a strong message that the United States supports Israel in its fight against Iran’s terrorist proxies,” the pro-Israel group said. “Voters across the country are rejecting anti-Israel voices and supporting candidates who understand the vital importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship.”

“The results of this election, as in so many others, show that a pro-Israel stance is good policy and good politics for both parties.”

President Bush has been a vocal critic of the Jewish state in Congress and has refused to condemn Hamas for the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel that left 1,200 people dead.

She also accused Israel of conducting a “campaign of ethnic cleansing” in Gaza and characterized the hostilities as “collective punishment against the Palestinian people” which President Bush has claimed are “war crimes.”

Earlier this year, AIPAC similarly endorsed Westchester County Mayor George Latimer over Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) in New York’s 16th District Democratic primary because of his views on the war between Israel and Hamas.

Bowman, who is also a member of “The Squad,” suggested Wednesday that Missouri’s Democratic primary was undemocratic.

“Buying elections is oligarchy, not democracy.” Bowman wrote to X.Let’s be clear: if Kohli had remained silent about the genocide in Gaza, no one would have stood up to her. It was her courage in standing up for Palestinians and the unprotected everywhere that infuriated those in power.

“And if we Americans will not come together against apartheid and genocide, what does that say about our country,” he added. “Special interests are destroying our democracy. They care about their own power, not the people. It’s time for us to come together and stand up for the future of humanity.”

Bowman wasn’t the only “Squad” member to lament Bush’s loss.

“Her death last night is a loss for all who strive for justice, peace, and a government that is accountable to the people, not special interests,” said Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-Ill.). I wrote to X.

“Don’t be fooled by the story you’re about to be told,” the Illinois Democrat added. “We can all see what happened. We must all be wary of the corrupting influence of big money in politics. It is the greatest threat to our democracy.”

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Massachusetts) tweeted that Bush was “a true movement founder, truth teller and champion for the people.”

“Dark money in politics remains a threat to our democracy, but our work for justice will continue.” Presley wrote“My eternal sister of service. Thank you.”

Bell will face Republican Andrew Jones in the general election in November.
