The ex-husband of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) was arrested after an incident with the congresswoman earlier this week.
Garfield County Jail Records Jason Boebert was arrested after he reportedly got into an altercation with Lauren Boebert at a restaurant on Saturday, and confirmed his release on Tuesday.
Jason Boebert was arrested Tuesday on charges of misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief, CBS News Colorado reports.

Jason Boebert's arrest was reported to police after an incident at Miner's Claim Restaurant in Silt, Colorado.
The Silt Police Department confirmed that on Saturday evening, officers were dispatched to a restaurant in the Boebert area in reference to an incident involving Boebert and her ex-husband. However, police officials did not disclose details of the investigation.
It is not clear who called the police, but both parties have previously denied wrongdoing.
“This is a sad situation for everyone that continues to escalate and is another reason for my transfer,” the congressman said in an earlier statement provided to Fox News Digital.

She continued, “I did not punch Jason in the face, and no one was arrested. I will consult with a lawyer and consider all legal options regarding the false allegations he made against me. ” he said.
Jason Boebert told The Denver Post in a brief phone interview that he called police Sunday morning and said he did not want to press charges.

“I hope nothing happens,” Jason Boebert said. “She and I were going through some difficult conversations.”
According to the Denver Post, the incident was first brought up by the American Muckrakers, which claims it is contesting Boebert's firing and is calling for her resignation.
The American Muckrakers claimed that a physical altercation ensued at X, and said the group was filing a Freedom of Information request for surveillance tape of the incident.
