Rep. Luna gets 350-page report on JFK assassination documents related to Russia

Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna announced on Tuesday that she has received a Russian report concerning the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy.

According to Luna, the document is a hefty 350 pages long and was provided to her by the Russian ambassador to the United States. She mentioned in a post on X that a team of experts will be at her office the following morning to start translating and reviewing the material. “We will upload it as soon as possible,” she added.

“I am uploading the file exactly as it is given to me,” she said in another update. “There is no editing as far as I can see.”

The Russian embassy in Washington confirmed the delivery of the report to Luna, stating it would be published in Russia come November. Back in May, Luna, who chairs the Federal Declassification Task Force, called JFK’s death “a momentous and tragic day for the Kennedy family, this country, and the world.”

John F. Kennedy was shot on November 22, 1963, while riding in an open-top motorcade in Dallas. Lee Harvey Oswald was apprehended shortly after on suspicion of the murder, but he was killed a few days later by nightclub owner Jack Ruby.

Despite the findings of the Warren Commission, which concluded that Oswald acted alone, the assassination has spawned various conspiracy theories. In March, former President Donald Trump signed an executive order to declassify documents related to the deaths of JFK, his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. The FBI revealed in February that it had located 2,400 new records concerning the assassination, as part of its commitment to comply with Trump’s directive.

When the files were presented to Luna’s office, the Russian ambassador, Alexander Darchiev, offered his condolences regarding the “brutal murder” of conservative figure Charlie Kirk. FOX News Digital attempted to contact Luna’s office, along with the White House, the Department of Justice, the National Archives, and the FBI for further information.
