Ex-Wife of Rep. Max Miller Files Lawsuit Over Alleged Release of Child’s Photos

Emily Moreno, the former spouse of U.S. Representative Max Miller, initiated legal action on Wednesday. The lawsuit claims that both Miller and his attorney, Aaron Mink, “recklessly released nude images of their 2-year-old daughter for public viewing.”

Filed in federal court in Ohio, the lawsuit asserts that Miller and Mink breached federal regulations concerning the “disclosure of intimate images” by sharing a link to an electronic Dropbox folder. This folder allegedly contained an image of a young child “depicting genitalia,” mixed with a variety of documents.

Moreno is seeking “$150,000 in damages for each image downloaded from Mink and Miller’s public Dropbox,” along with “significant attorney’s fees and additional legal expenses.” It’s uncertain how many times the image was actually downloaded.

“This child is a completely innocent victim who became collateral damage to her father’s political ambitions,” stated Moreno’s attorney, Subodh Chandra. He expanded, saying, “The complaint alleges that Congressman Max Miller and his attorney Aaron Mink, in a desperate attempt to maintain their positions and attack his ex-wife, committed the incomprehensible act of releasing nude photos of this helpless 2-year-old girl’s genitals to countless individuals online. Every parent and lawyer recognizes the severe risks involved in posting such images on public platforms where they can be accessed by predators and other malicious parties.”

“They are sacrificing innocent children for political gain, and we will pursue full accountability under federal and state law,” Chandra added.

Mink admitted last week that a “shirtless” image of Moreno and Miller’s daughter had been mistakenly posted but insisted no images of “genital organs” were included.

“I take full responsibility for what occurred,” Mink said in a separate comment. “I was solely responsible for gathering, creating, reviewing, adding to, deleting, editing, or modifying the information and files in this folder.” He emphasized that the posting of the photo was “completely unintentional and a mistake.”

Miller shared the file during an August 2 X livestream, where he firmly denied allegations of abusing his ex-wife or their children. Moreno has accused Miller of various forms of physical abuse, including pushing her, pouring boiling water on her, and threatening her with a gun. Records from the case feature a police report detailing concerns about their daughter’s broken collarbone and a “handprint bruise” observed on her shoulder.

Miller faces increasing pressure to withdraw from his re-election campaign and resign from Congress in light of these allegations.

Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio), the father of Miller’s ex-wife, has urged for Miller to seek psychological assistance, questioning his fitness to serve in Congress.

There has been no response from Miller’s attorney regarding requests for comment.
