Emily Moreno, the former spouse of Ohio Republican Representative Max Miller, has initiated legal action against him, claiming he posted nude images of their daughter online. This lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, arises amid a prolonged custody dispute stemming from their divorce. Moreno alleges that Miller acted irresponsibly by sharing nude photos of their two-year-old daughter for public viewing.
According to the lawsuit, Miller provided the incriminating photo to his attorney, Aaron Mink, alongside other material he was using to counter domestic violence claims made against him. Mink has since claimed full accountability for the contents of the Dropbox folder, stating that the release of the images was entirely unintentional.
In a notable twist, Mink said, “I take responsibility for what happened. I was the only person responsible for assembling, creating, reviewing, adding to, deleting, editing, or modifying the information and files within this folder.”
Miller’s act of sharing a link to the Dropbox folder on social media reportedly led to the photo being viewed over 400,000 times. The lawsuit emphasizes the dangers of posting such images online, especially in a society rife with threats to children. “Every parent knows that nude photos of their children, or any child, should not be posted on the public Internet,” the allegations state.
Separately, Moreno has leveled domestic violence accusations against Miller, including claims of severe physical abuse, which he vehemently denies. Amidst these legal troubles, Miller remains in the race for reelection in Ohio’s 7th Congressional District, solidifying his status as the Republican nominee as the election deadline approaches.
Senator Bernie Moreno, Emily’s father, has now called for Miller to resign from Congress following a livestream in which Miller denied the allegations. He expressed concern over Miller’s purported “erratic and dangerous behavior,” stating that such conduct disqualifies him from serving in Congress.
