A Harvard graduate launched an anti-Israel rant while former House Speaker and Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi was accepting her “Outstanding Citizen of the Year” award in San Francisco.
Pelosi was honored Monday for her “37-year career of distinguished servant leadership” at a sold-out dinner event hosted by the Harvard Club of San Francisco to commemorate the club’s 150th anniversary. The event website said:.
Footage of the meeting obtained by Fox News Digital shows Pelosi accepting the “Distinguished Citizen” award before being interrupted by a female anti-Israel activist.
“Congratulations, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi,” a protester can be seen shouting while standing in the center of the room. “What’s the point of getting a scholarship if you’re using money from Harvard to retaliate, oppress, and oppress your own students?”

Protesters told Pelosi she was “aiding and abetting” the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
“And what good is it to be a distinguished citizen when you are aiding and abetting this war and the ongoing genocide in Palestine?” the protester said.

Event officials were seen ushering her outside shortly after the protesters turned violent.
“Shame on you all here! Shame on you! How dare you do this when our students are being attacked by the government!” protesters yelled as they were led outside.

Pelosi, who represents California’s 11th congressional district, could be heard responding to the protesters, “We respect your right to express your opinion.”
“Welcome to San Francisco, everyone,” Pelosi quipped to enthusiastic applause and laughter as the protesters were cleared.

At least 2,100 people have been arrested at various anti-Israel protests since April 18, the Associated Press reported.
Pelosi’s office, the San Francisco Police Department, Harvard University and the Harvard Club of San Francisco did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.
