Rep. Rashida Tlaib uses a surprising sum on luxury limousine services in a single year

The campaign of Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a member of the progressive Squad from Michigan, reportedly spent over $35,000 on “luxury limousine services” from October 2024 to September 2025, based on Federal Election Commission filings.

According to documentation reviewed, Tlaib’s campaign made payments totaling around $36,717 to Aline Luxury Limousine Services, a company operating in the Detroit suburbs.

Numerous transactions were labeled as “travel expenses” or “transportation expenses,” occurring throughout approximately a year.

These payments ranged from $118.80 to $1,326, with many in the $600 to $700 range.

Fox News Digital reached out to Tlaib’s team for clarification regarding these expenses but did not receive an immediate reply.

Aline Luxury Limo Services lacks public details, but the now-defunct website for DTW Chauffeured Rides, associated with the same address, claimed to offer luxury transportation services for over a decade.

The former site stated that it provided “a wide range of vehicles, from classic limousines to the latest sedans and SUVs,” emphasizing an upscale experience at a reasonable price.

Tlaib, who is regarded as a prominent progressive voice and the first Palestinian-born woman in Congress, often criticizes wealth and income inequality in the U.S.

In September, she collaborated with Sen. Bernie Sanders to introduce the CEO Pay Excess Act. They described the bill as an effort to curb corporate greed and tackle the excessively high salaries of top executives.

Tlaib pointed out that CEOs earn “290 times more than the average worker,” expressing that “working people are tired of corporate greed.”

She stated, “It’s shameful that corporations exploit the labor of their workers for record profits,” and expressed pride in working alongside Sen. Sanders to address income and wealth inequality through this new initiative.

Reflecting on the previous budget measure supported by former President Donald Trump, Tlaib had called it “an act of violence against our communities,” particularly highlighting extreme income disparity.

“At a time when 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, this budget is ruinous for the working families we represent,” she remarked.

She further criticized Republicans for cutting billions from nutritional aid, accusing them of prioritizing war funding over the basic needs of families. Tlaib concluded that every member of Congress who voted for this budget has betrayed their constituents to favor the wealthy elite and should be held accountable at the polls.
