The FBI reportedly launched an investigation into former FBI director James Comey on allegations that it launched an “honeypot” operation to infiltrate two female agents during the 2016 Trump election.

According to the report of Washington Timesthe FBI is considering the suspect's business in 2015 after whistleblower revealed the conspiracy in disclosures to the House Judiciary Committee last year. The operation was said to involve two female agents acting as “honeypots” while traveling with Donald Trump's team.
“Honeypot” usually refers to a secret agent who has a romantic interest in the target to extract information.
Fox News Digital In a copy of the disclosure obtained by the outlet, the whistleblower was reportedly an FBI employee and was involved in an “off-book” investigation into then-presidential candidate Trump.
The whistleblower then claimed he knew that Trump ordered an investigation into Trump and that he “personally overseen it” shortly after he announced that he was running for president.
According to the whistleblower, the two spies in question were placed at a high level within the campaign and were instructed to act as “honeypots.” They traveled with Trump and his campaign staff.
However, the probe was allegedly stopped when the media outlet planned to receive and publish images of one of the agents. The whistleblower said he observed that one or more employees were ordered not to discuss the operation with anyone, including those involved.
