Report: Pelosi Privately Told Biden He Can’t Beat Trump In 2024 Presidential Race

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told President Joe Biden in a private phone call that he cannot defeat former President Donald Trump in the November election, according to multiple reports.

Pelosi, D-Calif., also told Biden that continuing the campaign could hurt Democrats’ chances of winning the House of Representatives in November, four sources said. CNN.

Additionally, during her meeting with Biden, 81, Pelosi, 84, pointed to several polls that show Trump would beat Biden.

But sources said Biden pushed back, telling Pelosi that all polls point to his reelection.

There was no clear indication during the meeting whether Pelosi told Biden to drop out of the race, but the conversation came just a week after she and Barack Obama privately shared their concerns about the president.

This comes after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., on Saturday urged Biden to drop out of the race.
