REPORT: Police Rush To Gordon Ramsay’s Home In Latest Swatting Incident

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reportedly rushed to Gordon Ramsay’s home at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of shots fired.

An unknown person reported that someone fired a gun at Ramsay’s Bel Air mansion, triggering an immediate police response, law enforcement sources told TMZ. Police said they didn’t find any evidence that a shooting had taken place upon arrival and spoke with neighbors who denied hearing any gunfire. Law enforcement told TMZ they believe this is the latest in a series of swatting incidents that have plagued the Los Angeles area.

Sources close to the situation claimed Ramsay was not home when the incident occurred.

Detectives are investigating the alleged swatting but have not made any arrests, according to TMZ.

The LAPD have recorded a number of swatting incidents in recent weeks and months. Nicki Minaj’s Hidden Hills mansion was targeted by swatters claiming a shooting had taken place at her home earlier in April, police said. Jennifer Aniston, Chris Brown, Chris Pine, Rihanna and Justin Bieber have all reportedly been victims of swatting calls in the LA area. Officials said a swatting call turned deadly March 28 when police arrived at rapper Young Scooter’s home. He reportedly had no idea why armed police were at his door and fled from the back of his home. The rapper suffered a fatal injury while attempting to flee and died on his 39th birthday, authorities said. Officials have ruled Young Scooter’s death to be accidental, according to Atlanta News First.
