Defense Secretary Pete Hegses ordered the US cyber order to suspend all cyber operations against Russia, including aggressive actions, a source close to the situation said.

The Secretary of Defense issued an order to Command Chief General Tim Howe in late February, officials said. However, it is unclear how long the order will last.
The US Secretary of Defense declined to comment on the decision “due to operational security concerns.”
“To include the cyber domain, there is no greater priority for Secretary Hegses than the safety of warfighters in all operations,” the official said. NBC News.
“It is to oppose all cyber threats to critical infrastructure from Russia,” the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said in a statement. There was no change in our attitude. ”
The move comes after President Donald Trump attempted to establish diplomatic relations with Russia, including restoring embassy staffing, just as the Trump administration was trying to end the war.
