Reporter ridicules Billie Eilish at her home after Grammy ICE remarks

Billie Eilish Confronted Over Grammy Comments

A British journalist recently tried to approach Billie Eilish at her home in Los Angeles. He playfully invited her to chat after she made anti-ICE remarks during her Grammy Awards acceptance speech.

During her speech, Eilish stated, “No one lives illegally on stolen land,” and concluded with a strong, “f— ICE.” This caused a stirred reaction, leading GB News reporter Ben Leo to visit her upscale horse farm, questioning whether she really believed in what she said.

“Billie believes there are no illegal aliens because we’re all on stolen land,” Leo mentioned during his broadcast. “So, we’re here in her high-end neighborhood in Los Angeles. Let’s see if she lives by her words.”

He further expressed a hope that Eilish would welcome him for a casual cup of coffee or tea.

As Leo walked towards the property, framed by high hedges and security, he pointed out the irony of her home being protected by a “huge wall,” contrasting with her views on immigration.

“Come on in, Billie. We’re here because this is stolen land. I think we should have access to your lovely three million dollar mansion,” he joked into the house’s intercom. However, there was no response.

Leo concluded that Eilish seemed to have “different ideas” about her property compared to broader issues. The comments also drew criticism from the Tongva Native American tribe, who noted that her residence sits on “ancestral land.”

Chief Anthony Red Blood Morales of the Tongva tribe previously expressed appreciation for Eilish’s public platform, stating that although she hadn’t reached out directly, it’s an opportunity to shed light on the historical context of the land.

Eilish, alongside other major artists like Bad Bunny, utilized the Grammy stage to voice disapproval of ICE and the Trump administration’s immigration stance.
