Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) It was revealed Above Alex Marlow Show That Republican lawmaker bristled that stopgap spending had no views including himself.
Perry spoke to Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Marlow as the House passed a Stop Gap Expenditure Bill called the Continuing Resolution (CR) that freezes government spending for six months.
Pennsylvania conservatives argued that CR's progress was a victory in itself, as Congressional leadership prevented progress in the omnibus spending bill.
“What's different, the context about this is that we didn't accomplish our spending, but our leadership wanted to do an omnibus. They wanted that four corner deal. CR is not a Four Corners deal. They don't want a CR. They were forced into it by people like me and honestly became president,” Perry said.
Former Freedom Caucus chairperson also cheered on CR's lack of hark.
“There's no purpose for this,” he said.
This is a noticeable difference from the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill passed before Christmas 2022.
“This is a billion-dollar goal that's off the table,” Perry explained. He later pointed out that a GOP lawmaker had vented him about his lack of himark in legislation.
“A Republican was complaining to me at this morning's meeting. He's complaining, well I think I have to vote for this, but you know, my eark isn't. I think you're talking to a guy, a brother,” Perry said.
“I'm not interested in that,” he said.
Keystone State conservatives also noted that America has not seen the usual Congressional budget process. He said it was in 1996 that Congress last went through the “normal” spending process.
“We have to find new ways to do business,” he insisted.
