Republicans Can Tackle Deficit While Securing the Border

Congressman Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) Breitbart News Daily He said the Republican reconciliation bill could reduce the budget deficit while securing the border and unleashing energy development.

“I want secure borders, I want energy independence, we need drill baby drills, and I also think there needs to be fiscal responsibility because we can’t go beyond budget deficits. And that's the one thing that's not talked about enough,” he said.

“Growth is very important because the tax law changes will be large-scale,” he added.

He went on to say, “Not only do we have secure borders, we're going to do everything to grow, but I think we also need to address the problem of the deficit.”

Tiffany said, “Instead of growing the government at a 5-10% rate, we have to stop reckless spending. Why not go on a diet and flatten it out? In 10 years. We're expecting a 1% growth.”

The Wisconsin Republican said the debt is driving up U.S. bond yields, and spending cuts with help from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) could alleviate the problem.

Tiffany added that there is “huge fraud” in the food stamp program, officially known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

He said unspent coronavirus aid money could be recovered and parts of the Inflation Control Act, the Democratic climate change bill he dubbed the “Green New Deal,” could be repealed. pointed out.
