Republicans Have Become ‘the Party of the Common Man’

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a lifelong and staunch Democrat, said Sunday that the Republican Party has become “the party of the common man” and the Democrats the party of the elites.

Kennedy recently stopped campaigning in battleground states to endorse former President Donald Trump.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kennedy said: “We are seeing an inversion where the Republican Party has become the party of everyday people, working people and the middle class, and the Democrats have become the party of Wall Street, the military-industrial complex, Big Pharma, Big Agriculture, Big Tech, Big Banking and everything @realDonaldTrump calls the Deep State.”

He also attached a clip from a discussion at a live event in Anaheim, California, earlier this week between conservative media personality Tucker Carlson and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

Mr Kennedy said the system Mr Trump was facing was “an oppressive, oligarchic system – the kind of system we fought to overthrow in the Revolution of 1776”.

Kennedy's video ends with “MAHA,” an acronym for “Make America Healthy Again,” Kennedy's version of Trump's famous slogan.
