Republicans Must Adopt ‘Eye for an Eye’ Strategy in Response to Lawfare

DETROIT, Mich. — Conservative journalist and political commentator Jack Posobiec and author Joshua Lysek told Breitbart News at Turning Point Action’s “People’s Convention” that Republicans must adopt an “eye for an eye” strategy in response to the legal war being waged against them.

Asked how the political right should get justice for its legal war against former President Donald Trump, Lisek said that in his and Posobiec’s new book,The Unhumans: The Secret History of the Communist Revolution (And How to Crush It)“They talk about interconnectedness.”

“This is a book about the history of communism, past and present,” Lisek said, noting that the experience of January 6 is similar to Mao’s White Flower Movement in the 1960s, when opponents of the communist regime were ordered to “wear a white flower on their lapel” so that the communists could “identify everyone they arrested.”

“There are countless examples of these types of tactics that show how the contemporary and institutional left within the Democratic Party is mimicking actual communist strategies,” Lysek continued.

“The reason the Soviet Union did not have a nuclear war with the United States was because of what we call ‘nuclear diplomacy,’ or mutually assured destruction, which meant that if you tried to launch a nuclear attack, we would immediately launch a nuclear attack on you,” he added. “The Soviets did not try to launch a nuclear attack because they did not want to be attacked by it. This reciprocity goes back to the oldest written document of civilization, the Code of Hammurabi.”

Posobiec joined in, adding, “When I was writing this I never expected that the topic of ‘nuclear diplomacy’ would come up again when the book was published. But if you look at Russian warships, that’s exactly what we’re seeing in the Caribbean right now.”

The political commentator elaborated: “Why are they there now? It’s very simple. It’s a reciprocal measure from Russia and with all diplomatic talks cut off, it’s the only way for the two sides to reach each other. And as the US continues to send weapons, supplies, missiles, bombs and ammunition to Ukraine (Joe Biden has said Ukraine has been authorized to attack within Russian soil), what will Russia do next? They will send nuclear weapons… to the Caribbean and trigger a new Cuban Missile Crisis.”

“You actually see that same interaction onstage,” Posobiec said.

“What we’re encouraging in the book is for the institutional right, like the Republican Party, to understand that an eye for an eye is nonsense,” Lisek added.

“In reality, in a civilized society, an eye for an eye is a rule that causes those who would gouge out an eye to refrain from poking someone else’s eye for fear of what might happen to them,” Lysek argued.

“So what is that reciprocity? It doesn’t seem like a reactionary mess… The reciprocity in this case is, ‘Okay, you’re waging a legal war against our candidate? Legal “What’s the point of us using counter-laws against you?” he added.

“By escalating tensions beyond what they can tolerate, they are de-escalating the opposition,” Lysek said.

“Right now, the cost of their legal fight is next to zero. They have to raise the cost,” Posobiec added.

“And then if you raise the cost to a price they don’t want to pay, you can parody and bring things back into balance,” he said.
