The incoming Senate Republican Conference will meet Wednesday morning to hold secret ballot elections for several leadership positions, including the successor to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who will lead the Republican majority next year. is.

At 9:30 a.m., the 119th Congress will elect a new leader, Republican whip, conference chair, Republican policy chair, vice conference chair, and National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRS) chair.

Also vying for the coveted leadership role are Senate Minority Whip Sen. John Thune (R.S.D.), Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.). state).
