Republicans Track the Tax Money Going to Groups of Migrants

Tracking Funds Supporting Protests

The Trump administration and GOP members are taking steps to monitor government and private funding related to protests in Los Angeles. Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem announced her collaboration with the Internal Revenue Service to trace financial sources for the riots.

During a press conference, Noem emphasized:

The IRS can assist in tracking the funds behind these violent protests. Various NGOs, unions, and even individuals might be financially supporting these disruptive groups. This is completely unacceptable.

In another development, Republican Rep. Kevin Kiley from California has proposed legislation aimed at cutting off significant federal funds from NGOs like the Humanitarian Immigration Rights (Chairah) and the Immigration Defense Agency. These organizations are involved in assisting those illegally present in the country, including their transport and care.

“The violent events we’ve seen in Los Angeles threaten community safety and undermine democracy by disrupting the policies of a duly elected president,” Rep. Kiley stated. “We need more effective tools to prevent and penalize these unlawful and anti-democratic actions.”

Social media users have pointed out that funding from some of these organizations is being funneled to oppose U.S. immigration laws and to support rioters, legal experts, and undocumented individuals.

Laura Powell has also been following the flow of funds towards these activities.

Data republican revealed that tens of millions in taxes are being allocated to protests labeled “No Kings.”

In addition, private donations have emerged as a substantial source of funding. Recently, Natalie Winters highlighted that the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative contributed $90,000 to the $900,000 Immigration Law Resource Center. This funding is intended to provide pro bono legal assistance to help undocumented individuals navigate immigration laws. The ILRC also advises these individuals on how to avoid cooperation with immigration authorities.

The information discussed here is likely just a small fraction of the extensive state and federal funding that supports organizations allegedly working to evade laws or actively financing harmful riots.
