“I’m also a little shy,” Affleck said on the show, “and I don’t like the spotlight, so people look at me and they’re like, ‘Why is this guy so angry all the time?’ Because somebody takes a camera and shoves it in my face and I’m like, ‘Right, here we go.'”
The actor-director continued that he doesn’t mind being photographed in public, even when he’s with his wife, Jennifer Lopez, but he said that his demeanor changes drastically when his children and stepchildren are around, and that sometimes the expression just comes naturally.

“By the way, I guess I’m also a person who finds myself. I’m sitting at home and people are like, ‘What’s wrong?’ and I’m like, ‘Nothing. Nothing,'” Affleck said. “I’m like, ‘Nothing. I’m listening to this.’ And then you start to wonder if something’s wrong.”
During the interview, Affleck referenced the term “resting bitch face.”
“Bitch?! Right now, right now I’m looking stern,” Affleck explained, according to THR.
He also touched on the emotional discrepancy between how others perceive his mood from his facial expressions and how he actually feels: “People are projecting something onto me that I don’t feel about myself at all,” Affleck pointed out, according to the outlet.
