Resurfaced footage WNBA A’ja Wilson white privilege VIRAL

WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson has been talked about, but nothing she's done on the court. The ace center is currently under fire after a year-old clip resurfaced on X, which has already garnered over 20 million views.

Jason Whitlock and Steve Kim discuss this damning footage.

In the video, Wilson, who was courtside, tells teammate Kelsey Plumb:

“As Black women, Paige [Bueckers] I remember you a lot. As you say, “It's not really about me.” she knows. And she knows how her privilege got her there,” Wilson told Plum.

“And she's obviously good at basketball. Like, she understands her privilege. It's like, in a way, that's what pushes her to the top. I think of you a lot, but that's… I meant it as a compliment,” Wilson continued, “complimenting” Plum.

Steve translates Wilson's comment as follows: Look, you cracker, you have a lot of white guilt, and I admit it. ”

“This is a problem that a lot of people have with Caitlin Clark's fans and supporters. They don't accept Caitlin Clark's opinion. [the white privilege narrative]He explained, “One of the more interesting aspects of this fan base is that some of Caitlin Clark's biggest supporters aren't white. They're actually black men.”

“A lot of people like Aja are so used to white guilt and forcing it on others that when people don't comply, it becomes too much for them to handle.” Steve continues. “this [WNBA] Caitlin Clark's playoff review is the sports version of white flight and gentrification. ”

Jason agreed, calling Steve's comparison “a good analogy.”

Wilson's comment “was a message sent to Caitlin Clark,” he said, adding that it was also “a message to Nike.”

“Aja Wilson has Nike's signature shoes and logo. No one's going to buy her shoes. No one cares, but Nike is like, 'Oh, they have to promote Aja first.'” “Acting like that” is bending over backwards to please Aja Wilson and Dawn Staley and the entire BLM crowd.

“So Aja has a mindset that she has to embrace in order to justify getting treatment that she knows she doesn't deserve,” Jason told former NBA player Tim Duncan. For example, he says that although he was a great player, he was not the kind of player who sold shoes. .

“She has to develop a mindset of, 'I owe this debt, white girls, help you until I repay it,'” he said. He describes it as “endless reparations.”

According to Steve, the marketing of Aja Wilson's shoes is basically just suppressing Caitlin Clark's up-and-coming shoes.

“They're promoting A'ja Wilson by suppressing anything related to the most popular player in the league,” he said, adding that Clark's shoes should be named “Air Suppression.” I joked that there was.
