RFK Jr. not concerned CIA will target him if he’s president

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he wasn’t worried he might die if he won the White House, dismissing theories that he would be targeted by government agencies or businesses.

Kennedy appeared on NewsNation Wednesday night to answer listener questions on host Chris Cuomo’s show about the potential dangers of challenging established, powerful institutions in the public and private sectors. was.

“You’re going after some of the biggest organizations in existence: Big Pharma. Big Agra. Big government. CIA. FBI,” said a listener named Will, a self-described Kennedy supporter. .

“We choose you, yes. Are you going to live? Are they going to come after you?” he asked.

President Kennedy responded by downplaying the concerns.

“It’s nothing to worry about, Will. I’m not stupid about it,” he said during the cable segment. “Although the White House has denied me Secret Service protection, I am taking precautions and have hired a very good security company.”

The environmental lawyer went on to say that “there are many things worse than dying,” and that families of historically prominent Democrats have made sacrifices for the greater public good.

“I grew up in a family where the first thing I learned was that there are far worse things than dying,” Kennedy said. “One of them is to live like slaves, or for our children to lose all the freedoms that generations of Americans gave us and died to protect.”

“We need to make sacrifices for the country,” he concluded.

President Kennedy has previously given particular weight to the theory that the CIA was partially responsible for the assassination of his uncle, former President John F. Kennedy. Last May, he said in a radio interview that there was “overwhelming evidence” for the claim, which has been swirling in separate circles for decades.
