RFK Jr. says Kamala Harris can’t ‘put together’ a sentence in English

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Vice President Kamala Harris' rhetoric and frequent policy shifts make her “unfit to be president,” and suggested she “cannot even construct a sentence in the English language.”

“I don't believe Vice President Harris is fit to be president of this country,” Kennedy, 70, said. He spoke to NewsNation's “Cuomo” on Tuesday night..

“We need a president who can be interviewed, who can articulate his vision, who can construct sentences in English, who can articulate his ideas and defend his policies. And we need a president who can participate in regular debates without a script.”

Kennedy dropped out of the race shortly after the Democratic National Convention ended late last month, fearing that staying on would pave the way for Harris to become president and endorsing former President Donald Trump.

“It became clear to me that I was not going to be allowed on the debate stage. The debates were my only path to victory. I had already been boycotted by all of the mainstream media, the liberal media,” Kennedy said.

“If I continued the campaign, Vice President Harris would win. That was not the outcome I wanted.”

According to polling compiled by RealClearPolitics, Kennedy's approval rating plummeted after President Biden decided to drop out of the race on July 21.

The Kennedy scion broke with his family's famous Democratic roots and endorsed Trump, but also criticized Harris' foreign policy.

“Harris's convention speech made it very clear that she remains a warring nation,” he said.

In her speech at the Democratic National Convention last month, Harris vowed to help Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggressors and to “ensure that America will always be the strongest, most lethal fighting force in the world.”

Former President Donald Trump (78) has spoken similarly about strengthening the U.S. military in the past. showed skepticism On continued aid to war-torn Ukraine, Kennedy repeatedKennedy disagreed with Trump and spoke about cutting the military budget.

Ms Harris gave her first major television interviews since winning the nomination last week, but Mr Trump and his supporters have criticised her for giving so few of them and for rarely taking questions from the media on her public appearances.

Ironically, Kennedy is struggling to remove his name from the ballot in key battleground states, including Michigan, North Carolina and Wisconsin, and he has filed lawsuits against several states that have refused to remove his name.

Trump and Kennedy had been corresponding prior to Kennedy's endorsement, sparking speculation that he might take a post in his administration. Kennedy is also a member of Trump's transition team.

“I'm not talking about my specific position in government,” Kennedy said. “Our agreement is about a unified party, unifying the party for certain purposes. This allows me to continue to disagree with President Trump on issues where I disagree with him.”

Kennedy said he and Trump agree on issues including opposing censorship, combating the spread of chronic disease and ending foreign wars.

Kennedy, a strong supporter of Israel, also noted that Hamas killed six hostages as the IDF closed in on Hamas positions in the Rafah tunnels.

“I think it's time to sympathize with the hostage families. This was a brutal murder,” Kennedy said. “This is an enemy that is not willing to negotiate.”

He predicted that Trump “won't back away from Israel” if he wins a second term in the White House, and praised Trump's policies toward the Jewish state as “much better than the policies of the Democrats in the past.”
