RFK Jr. will fight for the American family at HHS

If there's one thing Donald Trump understands, it's the art of trading. The architects of America's new political realignment recognized the value that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his broad coalition of voters brought to the table. So he invited them to join his campaign. It worked. This partnership led to a historic victory, giving Republicans a rare “trifecta” of control of the White House, House of Representatives, and Senate. It also gave Republicans a mandate to carry out the MAGA agenda.

But what happens to the “Make America Healthy Again” agenda?

RFK has already promised to implement the same historic pro-life policies that President Trump implemented during his first term.

Well, that was also part of the obligation. President Trump has made it clear that he values RFK's acumen in his campaign. He has now been selected to serve as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. It's not just an alliance. It's a merger. MAGA and MAHA officially unite under one banner to achieve common goals.

And one of those goals is to reinvigorate American families. President Trump and RFK have the perfect opportunity to bring families back to the center of public policy by reforming HHS to focus on promoting family formation and better health outcomes, rather than promoting abortion, DEI, or gender ideology. I have an opportunity.

Still, some of my closest friends and allies in the movement have privately expressed concerns to me about RFK's previous statements in support of abortion. Understood. I have concerns myself and have spoken out publicly during the campaign. But I think we can trust him on this issue for three reasons.

First, Kennedy does not seem to be caught up in the abortion fanaticism of the modern left. While many Democrats proudly tout support for elective abortion at any time during pregnancy, even late-term abortions when the baby is in pain, Kennedy's position was not always so hardline. During his campaign, he declared “All abortions are a tragedy,'' she said, expressing her opposition to late-term elective abortion. proposed He said he supports restrictions on abortions after a “certain number of weeks.” This is very different from the radicalism of the modern pro-abortion movement.

Second, Kennedy has every reason to pursue his side of the bargain and carry out Trump's agenda at HHS. Mr. Kennedy has his own priorities, and Mr. Trump has given him the freedom to pursue common goals. He won't let past lukewarm abortion convictions get in his way.

Mr. Trump will fight for abortion policy, not RFK, and Mr. Kennedy will not overturn Mr. Trump's pro-life policies at HHS. He has an agenda he wants to focus on, and that agenda doesn't include shillings for the abortion industry.

Third, and most importantly, RFK has already committed to implementing the same historic pro-life policies that President Trump implemented during his first term.

In last month's X thread, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) laid out I will explain some specific policies related to this. President Kennedy pledged to end taxpayer funding to organizations that perform or promote abortions at home and abroad. He promised to reinstate “restrictions on Title X funds that go to pro-abortion groups.” He pledged to restore conscience protections for medical workers to prevent them from being forced to amputate children against their will. He has promised that all members of Congress will be pro-life. And he has vowed to reverse the Biden administration's ridiculous “reinterpretation” of anti-discrimination laws to force doctors to perform abortions.

Also, there is no reason to doubt RFK on transgender issues. Also According to HollyKennedy has already pledged to repeal Biden's Health Department rule that classified a doctor's refusal to perform gender reassignment surgery on a child as unlawful discrimination. And there is no sign that Kennedy will interfere with the rest of President Trump's plans to protect America's children.

playing cards informed him of his agenda From the beginning of his campaign: He plans to block all federal funds from being used for gender reassignment procedures, and he intends to kick hospitals out of the Medicaid and Medicare programs if they continue to perform gender reassignment procedures on minors. He also announced that he would order HHS to investigate major pharmaceutical companies for illegally selling hormones and puberty blockers for off-label use. RFK should be especially happy about that.

I like most of President Trump's nominees, so it's hard to pick a favorite. However, RFK Jr.'s pick is certainly near the top. He is a change agent in a department that is in dire need of change. He is a disruptor and will oversee a powerful industry that is desperate to be disrupted. This is exactly the type of person we should be looking for in our health and human services leaders.
