Robert Griffin III couldn't hold back on his comments about Tyreek Hill's kids.
Griffin, who was fired by ESPN last month, began his exchange with Hill by responding to a video of Dolphins star receiver and pole vault champion Mondo Duplantis winning the 100-meter sprint against hurdler Kirsten Warholm, writing on X that Duplantis' race would “provide for his family.”
Hill has previously said he would like to compete against American sprinter Noah Lyles, who won gold in the 100 metres at the Paris Olympics in a time of 9.784 seconds. Duplantis finished in 10.37 seconds.
“ESPN, now I get it,” Hill replied with crying-laughing emojis, criticizing RG3, who was recently fired by the network.
“Now I understand why you had so many children. Everyone around you needs protection,” Griffin responded to Hill.
“A man put my family in this situation,” Hill responded.
“You got me involved. They're shocked. And I have nothing bad to say about you,” Griffin replied.
Hill has seven children with various women and is reportedly expecting another child with his wife, Keita Vaccaro.
He was also hit with two paternity lawsuits shortly after his December wedding.
Meanwhile, Griffin was fired by ESPN along with Sam Ponder just weeks before the college football and NFL seasons began, a surprise move by the network.
It is unclear why he was fired, but he has promised to explain his reasons for dismissal but has not yet done so.
Griffin's original joke mocking Hill included the detail that the pole vaulter ran the same speed as another NFL player during a 2021 track and field meet.
“Mondo Duplantis has the same speed as Seahawks WR DK Metcalf, who ran 10.37 seconds at the 2021 Track & Field Meet,” Griffin added.
Hill had previously claimed he could beat Lyles in the 100 metres, but Lyles had accused Hill of “seeking fame” by using his name.
“Who's the football cheetah guy, what's his name,” Lyles responded to Hill, “I can't remember his name. What's the name of the football guy who thinks he's fast?”
“Tyreek just wants influence“He says whenever a fast guy comes along he wants to race them. If he really wanted to compete he would have shown up like DK Metcalf,” Lyles added.
