The former wife of Hollywood actor Richard Dreyfuss seems to have given up on finding romance. After exhausting her dating prospects in Idaho over the last decade, she now hopes to spend her life with a “love robot.”
According to her daughter, Emily Dreyfuss, ex-actress and writer Jeramy Lane Dreyfuss has a unique aspiration. Emily mentioned that her mother dreams of owning a “sex robot,” as reported by a local news source.
Jeramy clarified that, while she has never termed it a “sex robot,” what she truly desires is a “love robot” to assist her with household chores and offer companionship at the end of the day.
“I just want a love robot. I want to kiss a beautiful and handsome robot,” she shared with her daughter.
She added that she wants to engage with robots for various tasks, like fixing things and keeping her company.
Emily playfully inquired if there might be anything “cold and metallic” suitable for cuddling.
“Yes, he can cuddle with me. He could sleep in my bed,” Jeramy responded.
Interestingly, she also expressed that she’d prefer the robot to be “anatomically well-endowed” and to have “nice lips.”
Following a series of unsatisfying relationships with notable figures in Hollywood, her wish to align with a humanoid robot grew stronger.
Jeramy was previously married to Dreyfuss for over ten years and has also dated famous individuals like Jack Nicholson and Bob Dylan. She explained that for once, she simply wanted someone who would prioritize her needs rather than her career.
“Emily, they won’t fight you. They won’t cheat,” she assured her daughter.
She further noted, “They won’t leave you, nor will they judge you for being too old or unattractive. My robots will love me.”
While Jeramy does not entirely fault the men she was involved with, she acknowledges her choice to consider robots as a response to her “broken man selection.” She remarked that some were dreamers, making lofty plans that were unrealistic.
As of now, no such “love robot” is available on the market. However, Emily might soon be able to purchase a humanoid robot, like the Unitree GI, for nearly $18,000 on Amazon, just before her 79th birthday in August.
This new type of robot can perform various tasks such as standing upright, folding laundry, answering doors, and even making coffee. Yet, experts say they may not replicate genuine affection any time soon.
