Rob Delaney Critiques Democratic Leaders
Actor Rob Delaney has expressed frustration with Democratic Congressional leadership, specifically targeting Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. He believes they aren’t left-leaning enough and should be replaced.
In a social media post, Schumer emphasized that Democrats aim for “common sense reform of ICE,” but Delaney criticized him for not advocating for the defunding and abolition of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. For those on the radical left, reform doesn’t cut it.
Using his Blue Sky account, Delaney harshly criticized both leaders and called for their removal. He stated, “Schumer is doing us a favor here. It’s clear he won’t help us. We ignore or rationalize his message at our peril. He, Jeffries, and others must be swept away from the path to power. Thank you, Chuck, for not really doing anything.”
“Mr. Schumer is here asking us a favor. Frankly, he won’t help us. We ignore or rationalize his message at our peril. He, Jeffries, and others must be sidelined from the path to power. Chuck, thank you very much for nothing.”

Delaney is among a group of prominent figures in Hollywood who are vocally opposing government agencies responsible for deporting illegal immigrants who have committed serious crimes, including drug trafficking and sexual offenses.
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel recently touted taking his family to anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, actor Matt Damon was seen sporting pro-immigration buttons at a movie premiere. Other actors like Mark Ruffalo and Wanda Sykes have also showcased similar pins at award ceremonies.
Additionally, actor Ethan Hawke noted at the Sundance Film Festival premiere of his latest film that he feels unable to freely express his political opinions in public anymore.
