Rodeo bull ‘Party Bus’ escapes Sisters Rodeo show in Oregon, injuring 3

An out-of-control rodeo bull stormed out of an arena in Oregon on Saturday, charging into a crowd of spectators and violently throwing a woman in its path.

The bull, nicknamed “Party Bus,” knocked the woman over, causing her to fall headfirst onto the ground, before the frantic bull rolled her over again with its horns, video shows, before the woman collapses at the bull’s feet, and the bull crashes through a table and into the parking lot.

However, the rodeo bulls’ desperate attempt at freedom doesn’t last long, and the party bus is captured by a rodeo pick-up man next to a livestock enclosure. The Sisters Rodeo Association said:

Three people were injured “as a direct result of the bull’s impact,” the association said in a statement, including two who were taken to a local hospital. All were released the following day.

An officer also suffered minor injuries while responding to the rampage, but did not say whether the party bus was a factor. police told KTVZ.

The incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. during the final race of the 84th annual Sisters Rodeo, a popular event that draws some of the country’s top cowboys and thousands of spectators.

A second video shows unsuspecting spectators singing along to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” as a party bus circles the arena trying to avoid two men on horseback.

Then the bull suddenly jumped over the seven-foot fence, sending the crowd running.

The party bus was removed from the arena following the incident.

“Obviously, we can’t recreate that scenario,” Leslie Lange, who provides livestock for the rodeo, including party buses, told KTVZ.

“But we’re going to bring him home, let him run wild again, train with him and make sure he never gets in that situation again.”

The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association said Saturday’s incident was a reminder that “rodeo is a fantastic sport, but in very rare cases, it can also be dangerous.”

“The PRCA offers its deepest thoughts and sympathies to those injured and affected by this horrific and rare incident,” the association said.
