Sen. Ron Johnson Discusses Fauci’s Communications
On Wednesday’s episode of “Mornings with Maria” on Fox Business Network, Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) talked about recent text messages from Dr. Anthony Fauci related to the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine implications for pregnant women.
Johnson indicated that there remains a chance Fauci could face contempt charges from Congress, urging states like Alabama and Florida to take action against him at the state level.
“There are two questions to consider: Was the pardon done via an autopen? Can you refute that? And what about the Justice Department—do you think they’ll indict him?” guest host Cheryl Casson asked.
Johnson responded, “I’ll see about filing contempt charges. In Florida, state officials are paying attention. With Tommy Tuberville as governor in Alabama, he certainly wants an investigation into these allegations. But for now, I’m focused on Fauci. It seems like the media is starting to cover this more. Take Tom Shimabukuro, for instance, who was in charge of Safety Oversight at the CDC. He destroyed federal records—deleted emails under the direction of HHS’ general counsel. And it looks like not only did he erase them from his own device, but they were also removed from HHS servers. We’re finding evidence of significant record destruction, which could be against federal law. Todd Blanche should look into this.”
He added, “We’re just starting to get these documents together. My investigation is only beginning. I’ve been sending oversight letters throughout the Biden administration without being hindered. Thankfully, as these agencies begin to share documents, Bobby Kennedy has supported my efforts to push HHS to cooperate. We had a call just last week, indicating that progress is being made. We have 34,000 text messages saved. As soon as a text comes in, we add the sender to our contacts list.”
Johnson noted, “Fauci has only three contacts on his phone. The rest of the messages are linked to phone numbers, suggesting he has removed those contacts. So, matching the numbers to identities will be a bit challenging. Figuring out what’s concealed in those messages will certainly take time.”
