Ron Klain Says Biden Taking Victory Lap While Grocery Prices Are Too High

President Joe Biden’s former chief of staff Ron Klain reportedly said at a recent event that the president was too focused on winning infrastructure projects and addressing voters’ pressing concerns like food prices. complained that they were not trying hard enough to do so.

In the audio obtained with Politico, Reportedly, Crane Said In recent events:

I think the president talks too much about bridges…. He does his two to three ribbon-cutting events a week on the bridge. And here is the bridge.Like I said, if you go to the grocery store, eggs and milk are expensive, the fact that there’s a fucking bridge is not [inaudible].

He is not a member of Congress. He’s not running for Congress…I think that’s kind of a fool’s errand.I think so [it] This one doesn’t get much coverage either, because it’s a shitty bridge. It’s a bridge, and how interesting is that bridge? It’s kind of interesting, but not very interesting.

Klain later expressed pride in Biden’s accomplishments at the event, but told the outlet again that Biden should be talking about the future, not past accomplishments.

“The president’s most effective economic message is the contrast between which side he is on and his compassion for the people. [pinch] “Praising his policies to overhaul household finances, cut costs and increase incomes, especially those with abstract benefits, is not very convincing to voters,” he said. Politico.

This isn’t the first time Mr. Klain has warned that high prices for everyday items are hitting Americans’ wallets.

“Inflation is slowing, but prices are still high, gas prices are still high, other prices are still high, and people are feeling the pinch,” he said recently on MSNBC. … “And even though wages are rising, and the statistics show that wages are rising faster than prices, people still feel their pockets are tight. So the president needs to make more progress on that.” I think there is.”
