Ronda Rousey Critiques Joe Rogan in Podcast Interview
In a recent chat with comedian Bert Kreischer, former UFC and WWE star Ronda Rousey didn’t hold back her thoughts on commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan.
During the episode of the “Bartcast Podcast,” the two discussed Rousey’s mixed martial arts background. Kreischer playfully inquired if there was a price that could entice her back into the Octagon.
“I mean, I have everything I want. Nothing really changes my life,” she replied.
As Kreischer started throwing out hypothetical monetary figures, he joked about a scenario where she would have to hit him. Rousey cheekily responded that she could easily beat him in front of his house. This led to laughter, with Kreischer asking, “How long can you practice?”
Kreischer then mentioned seeking advice from Logan regarding mixed martial arts, which prompted Rousey’s criticism of Rogan.
“He won’t know,” she stated. “He’s not an expert. He’s a fan with an audience. He’s never fought… Taekwondo hasn’t fought.” Rousey’s commentary hints at a rift in her relationship with Rogan, especially following her defeats to Amanda Nunes and Holly Holm.
Previously, Rousey mentioned feeling abandoned by some in the MMA community, saying last year that Rogan and others had “turned against me.”
Rousey is no stranger to success in combat sports, as she won a bronze medal in judo at the 2008 Olympics before making her mark in MMA. She held the women’s bantamweight title and defended it six times, earning her place in the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018.
After her time in MMA, she also became a three-time Women’s Champion and Tag Team Champion in WWE, showcasing her versatility in combat sports.
