Ronna McDaniel Resigns as RNC Chair Ahead of Super Tuesday

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel announced Monday that she will step down from her position on March 8, nearing the end of the Republican Party’s seven-year term in office.

McDaniel, midway through his fourth two-year term, announced at the party’s spring training conference in Houston, Texas, that he would step down from his role to “allow candidates to choose a chair of their choice.” Stated.
