The individual believed to be the transgender roommate of Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, founder of Turning Point USA, has garnered attention for expressing strong anti-conservative and anti-Christian sentiments, according to a relative’s account to Fox News Digital.
This 22-year-old has not yet faced charges, and authorities have not disclosed his name. Reports indicate that he is in a romantic relationship with another 22-year-old named Tyler Robinson.
The relative, who chose to remain anonymous, mentioned that the suspect is transitioning from male to female. She observed that after he turned 18, family dynamics shifted notably, particularly after he shared his disdain for Christians and conservatives.
“He harbors a deep-seated resentment towards conservatives and Christians,” the relative noted. “We never saw that growing up, but he became increasingly isolated, and it’s concerning.”
“His behavior has definitely escalated over the last year or two,” said another family member, adding that he was “often very angry.”
Robinson’s political views are believed to have evolved during his relationship with his partner. One relative speculated, “I think Tyler may have influenced him negatively over the course of their year together. They share interests like gaming, which can affect one’s perspectives, maybe more than we realize.”
One family member expressed, “We just want justice. I hope whoever is involved faces consequences, regardless of their level of involvement.”
According to reports, the FBI stated that Robinson’s roommate was “very supportive” of him and did not think about the alleged plot against Kirk.
Robinson and his roommate resided in an apartment in St. George, Utah. A law enforcement source previously revealed that Robinson’s father reported him to the authorities after recognizing his son in surveillance footage.
