Rosie O’Donnell Says No More Surgery
Rosie O’Donnell has made it clear she won’t be undergoing any more cosmetic procedures. During the 2026 Tony Awards, she was asked about future surgery plans and responded, “No, I don’t think so,” while speaking to E! News on the red carpet.
The 64-year-old expressed her decision to share her experience with plastic surgery, emphasizing her desire to appear authentic.
“In this day and age, authenticity is the goal,” she stated, adding that truth and love are important. O’Donnell wanted to be transparent about her mixed feelings regarding her surgery.
She mentioned that she felt it was better to disclose her surgery ahead of any tabloid exposé. “I just wanted to say, ‘This is what I did. Here are the doctors, and if you want,’” she explained, noting the significant cost of the procedure.
In May, O’Donnell shared before and after photos showing her transformation, admitting she felt “embarrassed” about the expense involved. “It’s very expensive. It’s more than any car I’ve ever bought, but I can’t drive without looking in the face,” she shared, reflecting on the financial burden.
Previously, O’Donnell had thought that undergoing plastic surgery was a “betrayal” of feminist ideals. However, her perspective shifted after noticing additional wrinkles following a substantial weight loss of 50 pounds. “I tried to evolve about it and say things like, ‘This is natural. This is earned,’” she wrote. Yet, she acknowledged the inner conflict, questioning, “There’s a point where acceptance starts to feel like a lie.”
