About 100,000 far-left, Israel-hating protesters are expected to descend on Chicago this week, causing chaos as Democratic Party leaders endorse a new presidential candidate.
At least seven large rallies and marches are planned to take place in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention at McCormick Place Convention Center, organizers said.
Other rallies are expected to take place, even though organizers have not obtained city permits.
Their causes range from far-left causes such as supporting Hamas terrorists and ending US aid to Israel.
The rally runs from Monday through Thursday, but protests begin Sunday with a march to Grant Park organized by the pro-abortion and gay rights group Bodies Outside of Unjust Laws.
The largest expected turnout will be at the Democratic National Convention 2024 rallies planned for Monday and Thursday, organized by a coalition of 125 anti-Israel groups, including the Chicago Alliance Against Racism and Political Repression and the American Palestinian Community Network.
According to multiple reports, more than 30,000 people are expected to take part in Monday’s demonstration.
Hatem Abdayeh, chairman of the American Palestinian Community Network, said: He told The Washington Post. The group has no intention of going soft on Democrats, even though Vice President Harris has risen to the top of the list of candidates to replace President Biden (whom the group has dubbed “Genocide Joe” for his support of Israel).
“Our targets are the Democratic Party and its leadership, including ‘Killer Kamala,'” he said.
Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.) said he saw little difference between the ideologies of the protesters and the top candidates.
” [the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz presidential ticket] “Their claims are so extreme that the prospect of whatever happens at the Democratic National Convention is frightening,” said Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.).
“If the far-left is quiet and happy, that shows how crazy the Democratic leadership is, because the most extreme extremists are happy with the direction they’re heading.”
“If chaos ensues and protests become radicalized and violent, it will show how crazy people are. It’s a no-win for America,” he added.
Republican Lee Zeldin, a former New York gubernatorial candidate, accused Harris of trying to court the support of “the rapidly growing number of pro-Hamas activists” and predicted that Jewish Americans would be the biggest losers if Harris wins the presidential election.
“This is [pro-Hamas] “These are madmen,” Zeldin said. “And if you fuel their hatred, it’s only going to embolden them and make them more aggressive.”
“There’s a 100% chance they’ll continue to expose their ugliness at the Democratic National Convention, which is to the detriment of Jewish Americans who should be terrified of what a Kamala Harris administration might be.”
At least three other Democratic National Convention-related rallies will include organizers calling for an end to U.S. aid to Israel, and a demonstration by the Chicago Coalition for Justice in Palestine on Wednesday will also call for an end to Israel’s war efforts in Gaza. According to the Chicago Tribune.
In 1968, the streets of Chicago were engulfed in bloody riots. Famous as the site of the Democratic National Convention In the midst of the Vietnam War.
Its selection as the site of this year’s left-wing love festival has raised the threat of protests at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, a threat heightened by the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza.
Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, have already secured their party’s nomination in an early virtual vote but are expected to deliver their formal acceptance speeches in person at the convention.
