A shooting at a Juneteenth celebration in Texas on Saturday night left two people dead and at least six others, including two children, injured, authorities said.
Shots rang out at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas. The police They were investigating the scene just after midnight.
Four adults and two children were rushed to a nearby hospital with “possibly serious injuries.” to Austin Travis County EMS.
Round Rock police told CNN. A search is underway for the suspect.
People gathered at the 640-acre park outside Austin to enjoy a Juneteenth barbecue followed by a festival and concert.
Rapper Paul Wall and his band were one of four musicians scheduled to perform at the venue.
“Round Rock, we are praying for you all,” Wall said in her X post.
The rapper later shared the post with five broken heart emojis.
No information about a suspect was immediately available.
