Royal supporters celebrate Trump's apparent criticism of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Royal enthusiasts have noted President Trump’s apparent jab at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, following his critiques of other royal family members, including King Charles and Queen Camilla.

During a press conference on Monday with Scotland’s Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, Trump spoke fondly of the royal family but seemed to hesitate when discussing “great people” beyond the UK.

“With Charles, Camilla, and everyone, I need to know them well for four years [as President] and now it’s been six months,” he remarked.

“All my families are amazing people. They’re truly remarkable,” Trump added.

While he didn’t mention the Duke and Duchess of Sussex directly, his recent comments spurred fans to speculate if he was indirectly referring to the couple. They took to social media, sharing their thoughts on what they perceived as his sly remark about them.

One user noted, “I love the shade; President Trump isn’t shy about tossing it their way.”

In a previous conversation, Trump expressed admiration for the royals, stating in March that he “loves King Charles.”

Another observer said, “He’s quite good at throwing shade!” pointing to Trump’s unfiltered comments about the Sussexes, which also included a suggestion that Harry was “whipped” by Meghan Markle.

Trump had shared earlier that he opted against deporting Harry due to the prince already facing numerous challenges, stating, “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He has enough issues with his wife. She’s terrible.”

As he prepares for a return to the UK in September for another official visit, Trump had labeled Harry as being led around by his former actress wife.

The couple, who wed in 2018, have made significant contributions to left-leaning groups and publicly backed Democrats in past elections. Their largest donations, totaling $250,000, were made to Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley, in 2023.
