The royal family will “support whatever happens” to disgrace Prince Andrew despite his name in the latest Jeffrey Epstein document dump, a royal expert has said.
The identities of more than 170 Epstein associates mentioned in court documents, including former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump and the Duke of York, were ordered made public last month by Manhattan federal judge Loretta Preska, and the contains serious accusations. But although Andrew's name did appear in the unsealed documents, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said it was unlikely the office would abandon the disgraced duke.
“I think the royal family will stand by him no matter what,'' Schofield said. told GB News.
“We didn't just see it at Sandringham, but I remember a vivid photo of Prince Andrew in the car with the Prince and Princess of Wales on the way to church at Balmoral.”
“I think he emphasized to them that there are no more skeletons in the closet,” she added.
Schofield continued, “It doesn't look very good, but I think you're only as strong as your weakest team member, and unfortunately he's your weakest team member.
“But they're going to support him. They're never going to complain or explain away. That would be their strategy.”
Unsealed documents reveal that another alleged Epstein victim, Joanna Sjoberg, testified in a 2016 deposition that the Duke of York sat on her lap at the financier's Manhattan townhouse in 2001. It was revealed that he had testified that he had placed his hand on her chest.
She also posed for a photo alongside Giuffre, whose breasts were groped using Andrew's puppet, Shoberg testified.
“They put the doll on Virginia's lap, I sat on Andrew's lap, they put the doll's hand on Virginia's chest, Andrew put his hand on mine, and we took a picture. ” she said of Maxwell and Epstein.
Andrew denied the accusations revealed and reported in a previous document dump. According to Reuters.
In the same deposition, Sjoberg was also asked about Epstein's comments in which Clinton's name appeared more than 50 times in the document.
