Ruby Franke’s sister Bonnie Whalen posted a poignant message after the disgraced YouTuber was sentenced for aggravated child abuse.
“The world is full of distractions, but I only see them,” says Whalein, 38. captioned on instagram On Friday, he recorded some sweet moments with his four children.
“Satan himself could not have me harm them. #ValentineDay #Valentine2024.”
Amid the family scandal, fans wrote messages of support for Herlein.
One person commented: “Sending love to you and your family ❤❤❤.”
“I hope your family (all of you) can start your recovery from here ❤️,” another user added.
“Your family gave us special prayers this week. Only God knows how much you truly love your children. I admire your parenting for 10 years ❤️ You guys. Sending love to you,” said a third fan.
Whallein’s cryptic post came three days after her sister Franke, 42, was sentenced to up to 60 years in prison on four counts of aggravated child abuse. (Each charge carries a one- to 15-year term, which she will serve consecutively.)
However, the mother of six children will serve only 30 years at most. utah law Continuous sentences are subject to prison time limits.
The former “Eight Passengers” host will have 30 days to appeal the sentence after the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole determines her exact prison sentence.
During the hearing, Franke apologized to “six little chicks.”
“To my babies, my six little chicks. You are a part of me,” she said in court Tuesday. Around “Today”.
“I was the mama duck who was always waddling you to safety. I now see that for the past four years, I had been falling into a deep undercurrent that was leading us into danger.”
Franke was arrested in August after one of her children escaped through a window into a neighbor’s house in search of food and water.
A neighbor called police after seeing an “emaciated” child who was also bound with duct tape. When authorities arrived, they found a child who was also malnourished.

Ruby’s estranged husband, Kevin Franke, filed for guardianship of the ex-couple’s 16-year-old daughter, Abby, earlier this month.
He has also lost custody of his four minor children, Abby, Julie (15), Russell (12), and Eve (10) since his estranged wife was arrested in August 2023. I’ve been trying to get it back.
They also have two adult children, Shari, 20, and Chad, 19.
Ruby’s former business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, received the same sentence after a judge told her she had “intimidated” her children.
