Actor and comedian Russell Brand knelt down to pray at the end of an hour-long interview with Tucker Carlson last week, praying against “dark, demonic forces” in government and corporate America. The interview took place in Phoenix, Arizona, on Wednesday as part of Carlson's multi-stop tour. National Live Tour This month's guests range from Donald Trump to Roseanne Barr.
when Interviewed Carlson asked Brand about his newfound Christian faith and how it influenced his worldview. As he neared the end of his proselytizing, Carlson asked Brand if he could conclude with a prayer, to which Brand agreed, jumping up from his chair and kneeling on the stage.
“I call upon the name of our heavenly Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” Brand said. “Lord, I am humbly [ask] In this wonderful congregation in Phoenix, Arizona, together with our moderator, Tucker Carlson, we offer a prayer in his honor and in ultimate honor to you, our Lord and Savior, as we are all your brothers and sisters, your children.”
“In your name, Lord, may the upcoming election be an opportunity for unity for America and the American people, an opportunity for forgiveness and grace, and may the dark demonic forces that seem to be operating at the national level — the deep state, the corporations, and the global level — experience your light.”
Brand also prayed that God would “guide our tongues, our words and our hearts so that we may all feel your forgiveness and grace.”
“Lord, we thank you for the many gifts you have bestowed upon us,” he added. “We thank you for the glory of consciousness itself that allows us to experience you and live you. We thank you for your wisdom and creativity, and for the beauty of nature that allows us to see its infinite glory.”
Jesus continued, thanking God that “He was born and died for us, that we might be forgiven and have eternal life, not based on any merit or personal accomplishment, for we are all fallen.”
“But in your holy name, and through your act of atonement, we are forgiven. Through your sacrifice, in your name, we pray. Amen.” Carlson also echoed the “Amen” heartily, and the audience responded with applause.
when Christian Post When asked to comment on Brand's prayer and whether he believed a Christian revival was coming, Carlson replied, “I can't say, but I love it.”

Earlier this year, after months of wrestling with the claims of Christian faith and reading works by authors including C.S. Lewis and Rick Warren, Brand was helped to be baptized in the River Thames.
