A Russian court on Tuesday once again extended the detention of Evan Gershkovich, an American reporter for the Wall Street Journal whom the United States arrested a year ago on false spying charges.

Moscow court officials said Gershkovych would be detained until at least June 30. The 32-year-old American national was arrested and detained on March 29, 2023, while on a reporting trip, and has been in prison ever since.
