Russia and Ukraine carry on with the exchange of 1,000 prisoners.

The prisoner exchange process between Ukraine and Russia is ongoing, as the countries look toward potential peace conditions.

On Saturday, both nations exchanged 307 prisoners as part of a larger agreement to swap 1,000 detainees that began on Friday and is set to conclude on Sunday.

As part of this arrangement, they will trade 390 prisoners—including 120 civilians—on Friday, while the remaining 303 will be exchanged on Sunday.

This is the largest prisoner swap seen between Russia and Ukraine since the onset of the ongoing conflict. The deal was reached during discussions in Istanbul last week.

Additionally, the two sides will exchange documents that outline ceasefire conditions, with Moscow stating these details will be released after the prisoner swap wraps up.
