Graham Comments on Trump’s UN Speech
During a segment on FNC’s “Hornity” on Tuesday, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) shared his thoughts on President Donald Trump’s earlier statements made at the UN General Assembly.
Graham described Russia as “paper tigers” and highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by Ukraine due to foreign aggression.
“It’s all about what Biden didn’t do,” he stated, criticizing past administrations as well. “They go to the United Nations and apologize for our greatness as a nation. Donald Trump stands as an ally for his European friends, but it’s crucial that we stop buying Russian oil and gas. How can we end the conflict while also fueling our enemies? His customers are the ones strangled. These conflicts, all seven of them, have persisted for 37 years unless they were under Donald Trump.”
He elaborated, “Being in the White House is really important. This guy is a mix of PT Barnum and Ronald Reagan—he gets into everyone’s heads. President Trump doesn’t need to stand there at the UN, blessing the world in that manner. Today’s First Lady met with the Ukrainian First Lady, discussing the alarming issue of 20,000 Ukrainian children taken by Russian forces.”
“Russia is a paper tiger,” he reiterated. “They’ve been at war with Ukraine for three and a half years, and Ukraine has outperformed them ten to one. They’ve been decisively pushing back against Russia. Today’s First Lady has given a voice to those children. I’m proposing a bill that would designate Russia as a national sponsor of terrorism. Trump has transformed everything. In this world, it’s preferable to have Trump as president. Today made it clear—there’s a new sheriff in town.”
