Australian golfer Ryan Peak officially turned his life around.
The 31-year-old competed in the Open Championship on Sunday, winning the New Zealand Open, and spent five years in prison.
Peak is a member of the Rebel Motorcycle Gang and was convicted of assault at the age of 21. He was a teammate of the 2022 Champion Golfer of the Year Cameron Smith at the time of his conviction.

After leaving prison, he returned to golf and began rebuilding his career with the help of lead coach Richie Smith with the support of his family.
He received his Australian tour card this season. This was his first professional victory.
“I always knew I could do that, but it was a matter of when I was going to do it,” Peak said. “Everyone believed in my family and my team, and most of all I believed in.”

“I've just changed my life,” Peak said. “This is what I do. I just want to be here and play golf. The story is what it is. But I'm playing golf here.”
Major has seen a significant share of Michael Brock's performance at the 2023 PGA Championship, and perhaps more recently, wild tales.
